The Compact Caravan system fitted by A & E Leisure combines years of research and development with quality and longevity. The excitement starts from the moment the box is opened; met with neatly packaged and perfectly placed components the install begins.
The box holds the pump, fittings, axle jacks and oil. The components are laid out ahead of the install, hoses positioned and made ready for fitting. The specific axle bracket is picked to suit the axle of the caravan and bolted in place.
The axle jacks/brackets are measured for transverse symmetry (being sympathetic to existing plumbing under the van) then fitted and torqued; each hydraulic fitting is painted to protect against road salt and any fixing will be painted with torque paste.
The hoses are run to the pump box, fully covered in conduit to help protect against any damage during the life of the product and clipped to the floor and looms. Time is taken to avoid sharp areas of the chassis and gas pipes; the hoses are run with shallow radius’ to avoid kinking and fixed at regular points.
Electrics are run into the caravan, inline with the pre-install discussion with the customer i.e. placement of keypad, emergency retract button etc.
Commissioning and priming is done until all air has been removed from the newly fitted system and final checks are done before the calibration. Once our factory trained technician is happy with the install, the caravan is removed from the fitting bay; lined up on our collections apron and ‘field’ tested.
The all important E & P Sticker is applied and the install is signed off pending customer collection; we then spend time making sure the customer is confident using the product, pass over the handbook and warranty registration and key before collecting payment and waving goodbye to another well fitted E & P Hydraulics install!
