Swift Group has joined forces with the Caravan Club to sponsor Sir Ian Botham again this year with the loan of an Autocruise Alto motorhome for the duration of his walk for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Sir Ian will be walking in ‘Beefy’s Great British Walk 2012’ to beat blood cancer in 10 cities across Great Britain, covering 150 miles in 10 days from John o’ Groats to Land’s End between 12th April and 21st April 2012.

The Autocruise Alto, was officially handed over to him at a charity ‘Skate and Donate’ session at Canary Wharf Ice Rink on the 5th January 2012 by Grenville Chamberlain, The Caravan Club Chairman, who has selected Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research as the Chairman’s Charity for 2012. Members of the public had the chance to meet Sir Ian and skate for a very worthy cause.

Sir Ian says, “On behalf of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, I would like to thank Swift Group for their continued support, as we enter our twenty eighth year of Beefy’s Great British Walk. I will not stop walking until every child with blood cancer survives, and the provision of a support vehicle for the walk, plus The Caravan Club’s dedication and support throughout the year, is very much appreciated.”

Nick Page, Swift group Commercial Director says, “We are pleased to be able to support Sir Ian again on this worthy charity event and wish him well for every step of the way.”
