Red Sea Shipping Issues

We like to keep our customers as up to date as possible and as you may well be aware the Red Sea situation is likely to have an affect on us.
We have now had information from manufacturers regarding the situation here is a little snippet -
The issues in the Red Sea are not progressing to a conclusion in the near future.
Carriers appear to have given up hope that the threat to vessels transiting the Red Sea will end any time soon, and all major container lines have paused all routings through the Suez Canal after the series of attacks in the Red Sea. The re-routing around the Cape of Good Hope is severely affecting the lead time, diverting around Southern Africa, will add an additional two-week delivery lead time to our shipments.
However, we believe that these delays could have an even greater impact in the very near future, as longer sailing times are likely to affect the availability of ships and containers.

So in light of this our advice would be -

•If you want an awning that is in stock buy it as soon as possible delays and shortages are imminent.

•We can see the cost of containers increasing again like it did in COVID. This extra cost will then have to be covered and I imagine it will be across the goods they are importing. So again buy as soon as possible so not to incur any price hikes.
As always if we can help you on your search for the perfect awning then please send us a message
